The Call Flow Designer lets you build a complete inbound call routing system using a drag-and-drop canvas. No technical knowledge required — connect nodes visually to create IVR menus, time conditions, queues, and voicemail boxes.
Accessing the Call Flow Designer
Log in to your VoIPCloud portal and navigate to Call Flows in the left-hand menu. Click New Call Flow to open the drag-and-drop canvas. Each call flow is assigned to one or more inbound DID numbers.
Adding Nodes
Drag components from the left panel onto the canvas:
IVR Menu — play a greeting and wait for a key press (e.g., press 1 for sales)
Ring Group — ring multiple extensions simultaneously
Queue — place callers in a hold queue with music-on-hold
Time Condition — route differently during business hours vs after hours
Voicemail — send to a mailbox when unanswered
Playback — play a pre-recorded announcement
Connecting Nodes
Click the output port of one node and drag to the input port of the next. Each IVR key press digit creates a separate output. Connect the No Answer and Busy outputs to a voicemail or overflow ring group.
Recording Greetings
Upload an MP3 or WAV file, or use the text-to-speech engine built into the portal. Navigate to Audio Files to manage your library. Reference the file name when configuring an IVR or Playback node.
Saving and Activating
Click Save at the top right. Changes take effect immediately — no reboot required. Test by calling the assigned DID number from a mobile phone.
