No app installation? No problem. The VoIPCloud portal includes a browser-based softphone that works in Chrome, Edge, and Firefox without any download.
Accessing the Browser Phone
Log in to your VoIPCloud portal. Click the Phone icon in the top right toolbar. A softphone panel slides in on the right side of the screen. The panel shows your extension status and a dial pad.
Browser Permissions
On first use, your browser will prompt for microphone access. Click Allow. If you accidentally clicked Block, go to your browser's site settings for the portal URL and change Microphone from Block to Allow.
Making Calls
Type a number or extension in the search bar. Click the green call button or press Enter. The browser phone uses WebRTC — no plugins required. Calls are full HD quality using the Opus codec.
Supported Browsers
Supported browsers: Google Chrome 90+, Microsoft Edge 90+, Mozilla Firefox 88+. Safari on macOS is partially supported — use Chrome for best results. Mobile browsers are not recommended; use the mobile app instead.
