Webphone App

Webphone Troubleshooting

Common issues with the Webphone desktop and mobile apps, and how to resolve them.

App Shows "Unregistered"

Check your internet connection. Verify the SIP Domain, extension number, and password are correct in Settings. If behind a corporate firewall, ensure UDP port 5060 (SIP) and UDP ports 10000–20000 (RTP media) are open. Try switching from UDP to TCP transport in the app's advanced settings.

One-Way Audio

One-way audio is almost always a NAT traversal issue. In the app's Advanced settings, enable Use VoIPCloud Media Relay (TURN). This routes media through the VoIPCloud infrastructure to bypass restrictive NAT.

Calls Drop After 30 Seconds

A 30-second call drop indicates the SIP re-INVITE is being blocked by a firewall or NAT device. Enable SIP ALG disable instructions for your router, or enable the media relay option in the app.

No Ringtone for Incoming Calls on Mobile

On iOS, check that the Webphone app has Notifications enabled in iOS Settings. Enable Do Not Disturb exceptions for the Webphone app. On Android, whitelist the app from battery saver / Doze mode. Also check the app's own ringtone volume setting.

Poor Call Quality / Echo

Echo is usually caused by microphone feedback. Use a headset rather than the built-in speaker. In audio settings, enable Acoustic Echo Cancellation (AEC) and Noise Suppression. Reduce speaker volume to prevent mic pickup.
