Microsoft Teams

Disable Microsoft Teams Voicemail

When using VoIPCloud call flows and voicemail, you may want to disable the built-in Microsoft Teams cloud voicemail to prevent duplicate voicemail boxes.

Disabling via Teams Admin Center

In the Microsoft Teams Admin Center, go to Voice → Calling Policies. Edit the policy assigned to your users. Toggle Cloud Voicemail to Off. Save and allow up to 30 minutes for the policy to propagate.

Disabling via PowerShell

Connect to Microsoft Teams PowerShell: Connect-MicrosoftTeams. Run: Set-CsTeamsCallingPolicy -Identity Global -AllowVoicemail AlwaysDisabled. This disables voicemail for all users assigned the Global calling policy.

Routing Missed Calls to VoIPCloud Voicemail

In the VoIPCloud Call Flow Designer, connect the No Answer output from your Teams user node to a VoIPCloud Voicemail node. Set the timeout to 20 seconds (recommended). Voicemails will be sent to email via VoIPCloud.
