Incoming SMS to Microsoft Teams

PC Madness VoIP can deliver inbound SMS messages from your business number directly into a Microsoft Teams channel, keeping all business communication in one place.

Prerequisites

You need an active Business SMS service on a Virtual Mobile Number (VMN) or 1300/1800 number with SMS capability enabled. Contact our support team to activate SMS on your number.

Creating a Teams Webhook

In Microsoft Teams, open the channel where SMS messages should appear. Click the + (Add tab) → Connectors → Incoming Webhook. Give it a name (e.g., SMS Notifications) and copy the webhook URL.

Configuring SMS Forwarding

In the VoIPCloud portal, navigate to SMS → Settings for your number. Under Inbound Delivery, select Webhook and paste the Teams webhook URL. Save. Test by sending an SMS to your business number from a mobile.
